According to the scriptures, it is believed that all the gods and goddesses are present in mother cow and donating a cow relieves all kinds of troubles. Bhram and Vishnu are believed to reside in the horns of the cow, Mahadev in the head of the cow, Mother Gauri on the forehead and Kartik in the eyes. Sun and Moon are believed to reside in the eyes of the cow, Kambal and Ashwattara Naag in the nose, Ashwani Kumar in the ears, Vasudev in the teeth, Varun in Jobha and Devraj Indra in the cheeks. Sun rays are believed to reside in the hair, Gandhar in the hooves, Earth in the stomach and Ocean in the four udders, Ganga resides in the urine of the cow and Yamuna ji resides in the dung.

Method- Any person should donate a cow which is lactating, its horns and hooves should be shiny, ghee, milk and sesame seeds should be put in a gold and bronze vessel along with the cow and placed on the tail of the cow along with a flower and then donated. For the virtue of the donation, along with the cow, money and gold should also be donated as per one’s wish.
